Cambridge A Level Business


Overview

Our Cambridge A Level Business course teaches students about all aspects of business including human resources, marketing, operations and finance.

Students will explore aspects of change, decision-making, enterprise, innovation and strategy within the business environment.

How our courses work

Syllabus and exams

This course prepares students for the Cambridge A Level Business syllabus 9609. The full A Level qualification comprises exams at AS and at A Level, which may be taken together or separately.

Exams take place in March (India and Romania only), June and November.

Taking the Cambridge A level Business course will enable students to:

  • Understand the scope of business and the role it plays in society.
  • Encourage students to learn about the process of critical decision-making in a changing business environment.
    Gain experience of writing a business strategy.
  • Develop their skills to work, plan and reflect on feedback independently.

Course Advice

Students will need the following grades at IGCSE level (or country equivalent):

  • First Language English (C or 4) or Second Language (A or 7), Maths (C or 4).
  • The recommended IELTS equivalent is IELTS 6.0/6.5.

Our AS course will take approximately 250 hours of study. Our full A level course will take appropriately 500 hours of study. Both AS and A level courses will require extra time for preparation of the assignments and revision at the end of the course.
